Located 65Km from Salvador and 10km from Praia do Forte beach – in a environmental preservation area on north coast – Imbassaí is one of these magical and delighted places. The village has only two streets which  provide access to the beaches and the river. Narrow and tortuous paths of land, between gardens, sites and sand dunes, offering to the visitor a close contact with the local nature.

The firsts habitants of this place called it Imbassaí, that in language tupi means “way of the river”. The six kilometers of beaches are along by high dunes, and behind them, the river Imbassaí runs parallel, offering a bath of calm and fresh water

The options for a good walking are very nice and varied. Walking around the village, visit a typical village, don't noticed by man. Visit the lake Lagoa de Jauára, which is just after a green trail, taking always the sea in view.

Imbassaí also has a wonderful  waterfall, which renews the energies both with water and with the beauty of the place.

Know San Antonio, a primitive village formed by fishermen and caboclos descendants of Indians. There are two ways to get there:  by the beach, at an average distance of five kilometers, where are some tents, and more 1 km into the dunes.
